Dear Reader

As a subscriber to the Son of Grizedale Newsletter we would like to invite you to the the official opening of the Renewed Coniston Institute on Saturday 8th September 2012 at 4.00pm

The address is the Coniston Institute, Yewdale Road, Coniston, Cumbria, LA21 8DU.

Doors will open at 3.30pm with speeches 4.00pm and an opening address by the writer, broadcaster and omnipresent Radio 4-ist, Paul Farley. Following this there will be tours of the Institute and its collections and commissions. High tea will be served throughout.

You will be able to see and use the renewed public library designed by Liam Gillick, the renewed Honest Shop by An Endless Supply, the renewed kitchens and the renewed Reading Room with works on display by artistic luminaries such as Darren Almond, Claude Hall Neale, Sydney Percy, Peter Liversidge, Emi Uemura and Homeshop Beijing.

For those less inclined to culture and more so to sports and the like, there will be a cricket match at the adjoining Coniston Cricket Club, where we are working with them on a new pavilion; or guests may partake in a game of snooker in the renewely named Prince Harry Billiards Room.

If you wish to attend please be kind enough to reply by return email.

We look forward to seeing you all.
